Biographie de Different
C’est au début de l’année 2009 que Different a pris forme.
Vincent Pouliot et Dominic Fournier se sont rencontrés. Inspirés du même désir, ils décidèrent de composer des chants évoquant une relation
personnel et unique avec Dieu. Ils enregistrèrent en studio leurs chansons en mars 2010, tout en étant à la recherche de d’autres membres
pour former le groupe. Samuel et Emmanuel Langlois, des amis de longue date de Dominic, se sont intéressés au projet et, suite à l'écoute
des chansons et à une pratique en groupe, le BAND est devenu officiel. Ils décidèrent de former "Different", afin de transmettre le désir
de leur coeur par leurs chants. Ce nom évoque non seulement une originalité musicale, mais également la différence dans la vie de quelqu'un
qui décide de suivre Jésus. Les quatre membres de Different sont des gens engagés dans leur foi, ce qui transparaît dans les textes car
ils ne se gênent pas pour exprimer comment ils croient en Dieu et qu'ils désirent s’en approcher en le chantant.Souvent, les gens croient
que les chants religieux ne peuvent pas contenir un rythme entrainant et une musique actuelle. Par ses chansons, Different veut changer
cette vision et démontrer la liberté qu'il y a en Christ à travers un son rock/alternatif actuel. Different veut transmettre, par leur musique,
un message d'espoir. D'où le titre de leur premier album : Rien n'est trop fort.

Different Biography
At the beginning of 2009 that Different took shape.
Vincent Pouliot and Dominic Fournier met. Inspired by the same desire, they decided to compose songs about a personal and unique
relationship with God. They recorded their songs in March of the year 2010, all the while looking for other members to join the group.
Samuel and Emmanuel Langlois, Dominic's long-time friends, got intere...sted in the project after listening to the songs and having a
group practice. The band became official. They decided to form "Different", so they could express the desire of their hearts through song.
This name not only implies musical originality, but the difference in the life of someone who decides to follow Jesus.
The four members of Different are comitted in their faith, which is shown in the lyrics because they are not embarrassed to express
how they believe in their God and that they desire to get closer to Him, by singing it out. People often believe that religious songs
can not contain a driving rythm and a current style. By it's songs, Different wants to change this mentality and show the freedom
that there is in Christ through a current rock/alternative sound. Through it's music, Different wants to give a message of hope;
hence the first album's title: Rien n'est trop fort (Nothing is too strong).
